Case Study · Mobile Application
Returns Made Easy. Convenience Delivered.
01
Reversibly is a customer-focused application designed to simplify the online shopping returns process. It helps busy customers arrange product returns without having to personally visit courier drop-off locations. Customers can select a retailer, submit purchase information, schedule a collection, and follow the return process through the application. The platform also incorporates payment management, return tracking, retailer selection, and wallet functionality.
02
Returning online purchases usually means printing labels, travelling to a courier or store drop-off point and waiting in line. For busy customers this turns a simple return into a time-consuming errand — and missed return windows mean lost money.
03
A mobile app that brings the return to the customer: choose the retailer, describe the purchase, pick a return option, see the full cost up front, and follow the return until it's handed over.

A — Customer Home Dashboard
A personalised welcome dashboard puts return-store search, previously selected retailer locations and familiar retailer cards (Amazon, Target, Best Buy) front and centre, so customers can find their store and initiate a return in a few taps. Shown here in two alternative visual treatments.
B — Store Discovery & Promotions
The missed-return-deadline banner speaks directly to a common pain point. Customer-facing messaging highlights convenience and encourages customers to let Reversibly handle the collection instead of making the trip themselves.
C — Customer Registration
Account creation asks only for what's needed — full name, email address and phone number — with one clear call to action. Reducing friction at sign-up means more customers reach the moment the product is actually useful: arranging their first return.
D — Purchase Details & Return Submission
The purchase details form collects the information required to process a return request, and communicates return conditions up front through product condition questions and an eligibility acknowledgement.
E — QR Code & Return Verification
The QR code scanning interface offers a quick, familiar way to support the return handover or verification step of the journey.
F — Return Confirmation & Payment
Customers choose between Store Return and Drop-off, select instant service and review product details alongside an itemised breakdown — return fee, service fee and additional charges — before choosing a payment method. Seeing the full cost up front builds trust.
G — Digital Wallet & Transactions
The wallet gives customers a central view of their return-related financial activity: a Reversibly digital card, retailer store credits, a debit card and recent transactions with clear incoming and outgoing indicators.
H — Return Tracking & Collection
A dedicated tracking experience covering the return journey: pickup, store drop-off, return acceptance and confirmation receipt, with returner information, estimated arrival time, customer rating and optional tipping.

UI/UX Design Considerations
01
A consistent bottom navigation keeps Home, returns and Wallet one tap away on every screen.
02
Search plus recognisable retailer cards (Amazon, Target, Best Buy) let customers start a return in seconds.
03
The return form groups pickup location, store, purchase date, item name and price into a single logical flow.
04
Dedicated upload areas for product photos and receipts make supporting evidence easy to provide.
05
Return fee, service fee and additional charges are itemised before the customer commits.
06
Product condition questions and an eligibility acknowledgement set expectations early.
07
A step-by-step return journey shows where the return is at a glance.
08
Cards, store credits and incoming/outgoing transactions live in one place.
09
One primary action per screen — Continue, Sign Up, Pay — keeps the customer moving forward.
